Fuel control valves are vital components to operate the modern diesel engine
This course was developed by Clinton Brett, founder of Diesel Help Australia, to assist technicians adapt a successful diagnostics strategy for common rail diesel fuel control valve faults.
Not many people realise that injectors are fuel control valves. The key feature of the control valve is to direct the flow of fuel to the right destination at the correct pressure and then return the fuel to the tank after each cylinder stroke.
Before electronic intervention, the injector performed a similar role. The main difference with modern diesel engines is that common rail injectors have a greater effect on the engine’s reliability, stability, performance and emissions.
This course will cover:
This course provides an explanation of the function, identification, operation, common faults and specific diagnostic testing of injectors. It will enable technicians to adapt the testing strategies provided or create their own unique method.
